The Story: Granny's Lane has a great view over Perranporth and the beach. I wanted to create an aerial photograph from the same angle. As the sun comes up it hits the other side of the valley first, the dawn light slowly descends towards the bottom of the valley, whilst highlighting the taller buildings on the east side too.

I tried to take the photograph with half of it in dawn light and half in shadow, to show the contrast.

I love the dawn highlights on the trees along the old railway embankment.
