The Story: An evening paddleboard from Bryher down the channel to Cromwell’s Castle, followed by a quick walk up the hill, brings you to King Charles's Castle. A ruined artillery fort overlooking New Grimsby harbour, on the island of Tresco. In summertime the sun sets out at sea, whilst in the winter it sets atop of Shipman Head: a beautiful place that gives a great vantage point to watch the summer sun dip into the ocean.
